Downtown Ubud

To be honest, I don't like the majority of the results from the photos that I took, but I don't want to edit or do anything to them either. On Thursday, I got a grip of my self, woke up earlier and took out the camera after some time. I went to downtown Ubud to take some pictures before going to work. Ubud is definitely the place when you want to catch your breath. Time feels slowing down here. Most of the shops are not even really open until 10. You know that moment in the morning when you just wake up, half asleep walking to the kitchen and brew a pot of coffee? That's 9 am in Ubud. The place is still half asleep. And in the night, it feels like everyone's going to bed at 9 pm. Everybody seems to do yoga and into raw food or anything organic and healthy. It's everything contradiction of Kuta.

As for me, I've got a lot of ups and downs recently. For example I woke up today feeling teribly depressed, and now it's like I feel nothing at all. Maybe a lil bit better cause I'm about to visit my best friend tomorrow (after two years or more?). Anyway, wish me luck :)...

  10. In Sarajevo, that kind of atmosphere is possible to feel right after the holidays, specially those when people go out of the city, in the nature. There is something magic in that calmness, like thy city is naked just for ur eyes and ur senses. Love ur photos and wish u a beautiful weekend! xx

I also love that the coffee shop is called "Coffee and..." because I don't care what else they sell, just give me the coffee!! hahahah! ;) Speaking of which, my coffee is not kicking in today. I feel like I'm on Ubud time! :)

  15. I love Ubud! I spent some time there a few years ago and am dying to get back sometime. It's a long, long way from London though! I also love your photos, I don't edit mine except maybe to crop them - I prefer the raw, organic look.
